Circus Christmas 2008

The 1 of December was a special day for thousands of children in need and their families. The Luís Figo Foundation prepared a magical afternoon, by inviting them to go to the Circus. The Coliseu de Lisboa welcomed over 2500 children from about 70 social solidarity institutions and hospitals from the Great Lisbon area who enjoyed the "biggest show in the world" alongside Luís Figo and several sports and art celebrities, like Simão Sabrosa, Pedro Lima, Tony Carreira, among others.

According to Luís Figo, "this initiative intends to provide children with true moments of joy". The President of the LFF also underlined that "this is one of the goals of the work we've been developing in several areas".

The child of the partnership between the LFF and the Coliseu de Lisbon, along with the help of several volunteers, the show met children from Ajuda de Berço, the Associação de Parilisia Cerebral, the APPT21, the Cruz Vermelha, the Hospital de Santa Maria and Santa Casa da Misericórdia, among others.
