Luís Figo Foundation joins two thousand children at the Christmas Circus.

Luis Figo Foundation in partnership with the Circus Chen, organized at the old Feira Popular de Lisboa enclosure, a special afternoon for about two thousand children and young people, from charities and schools from Lisbon area.

These children, who for different reasons live their lives conditioned, could alongside Luis Figo enjoy the magic that is Christmas Circus. During the show, a team of young volunteers of the Foundation has been tireless in their monitoring, receiving thousands of these children and also offering a snack from “Continente”.

With Luis Figo, were the Presidents of Foundations Sporting and Benfica and also his colleagues Paulo Futre, Sá Pinto, Cadet and Dani, who wanted to be present in this solidarity afternoon.

Sara Souto, Manager Director of Luís Figo Foundation, said: "It is a great joy to give these children, who have so little, greater experience of Christmas’ spirit" and added "... is one of the purposes of the Foundation help to improve the living conditions of those in need, and this is one of many ways we have been doing it year after year, for almost 10 years, always very rewarding."
 

Watching the big circus Chen, "Acrobats Without Limits", where there were many fantastic numbers like juggling or acrobatic trapeze were children and young people from more than 30 institutions and schools such as Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa (Portuguese Red Cross), Casa Pia, CERCICA, APAV, ACREDITAR, LIGA Foundation, BIPP, among others, that filled the spectacle with smiles and joy.

This event takes place alongside the now customary “National Campaign to offer Christmas gifts” made ??by Luis Figo Foundation, which this year will reach over 4000 gifts to institutionalized children, schools and hospitals, all over the country.
