Luís Figo Foundation and its partnership with the Operação Nariz Vermelho - Luís Figo visits the Amadora Sintra Hospital

The Luís Figo Foundation made a visit, today, on the 7 of November, to the Amadora Sintra Hospital, for its support to the Operação Nariz Vermelho (ONV). Luís Figo, Chairman of the Foundation, along with two Dr. Clowns, brought even more joy to the children of this hospital, who are visited on a weekly basis by these professionals. The partnership took place in December of 2009, with the adoption of a Dr. Clown and the "embrace" given to a hospital, which made it possible for these weekly visits to take place at the Amadora Sintra Hospital.

"The objectives of this Action meet our Foundation's goals to contribute to the well-being and personal appreciation for the children and youngsters who have health problems", says Sara Souto. "The work being done by these professionals is commendable, for we all know how important it is for a children in a hospital to have these moments of joy", she added.

The ONV's team, made of 20 Dr. Clowns with special training in hospital care, work alongside with health professionals, performing for each children and each situations, along with visiting the children's wards of twelve hospitals throughout the country all year long.
